With our own in-house software team, we have successfully incubated a number of innovative, scalable BI products and, having proven them with customers, are ready to move to the next phase of growth. We are looking for an experienced full stack developer to bring depth to our product portfolio.
You would be joining an open, collaborative team, experienced in software development lifecycle best practices and working with mature processes based on Agile project management. These include daily scrums, continuous integration, code reviews, and close collaboration with product owners and customer account managers. The development team also have direct contact with customers to see how our products are being used and to shape and influence the roadmap specification.
While we currently have an office in London, we are all happy working remotely full time and have the necessary support systems in place, including away days to help with team collaboration and cohesion. Our working environment offers plenty of scope for personal initiative, including influencing the continuous improvement of our software development and deployment standards, working on new technologies and choosing the best third-party code libraries and techniques to deliver value to our customers. Each developer is given dedicated training days during the year to help them carry out research and to enhance and maintain their skills.
Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a creative, full-stack developer who is a graduate in computer science or information systems and engineering with a desire to develop their skills to provide top quality service to exacting customers and develop innovative, practical applications.
You will be part of a small team, working in a flexible and friendly environment, in which you will be exposed to all areas of the business while maintaining a technical focus. The team are aware of the latest advances in tools, frameworks and software engineering practices, and actively seek to use them where appropriate.
We are looking for the following ‘must have’ skills:
Languages: C#, Typescript, SQL
Frameworks: .Net core, Angular
Experience: designing software systems, writing technical specifications, working with customer data, strong debugging skills and unit tests
Agile: comprehensive understanding of the Agile methodology, creating and implementing user stories
Testing and Deployment: building automated and manual testing procedures
Personal skills: Strong communication skills, interacting with the internal team and customers, with attention to detail, equally happy taking the initiative and working in a team.
Strong written English: essential for writing user stories and technical documentation
The following skills would also be welcomed:
- Experience with workflow engines
- Experience designing and building relational databases
- A good understanding of continuous integration and deployment
- Experience with responsive web design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and web security standards (eg OWASP)
- Software systems architecture design
- Software application architecture (class design, object orientation)
- Experience with ETL tools (Pentaho, Azure Databricks etc.)
Our development environment is based on Visual Studio, VS Code, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) and Postman (API testing).
